Mad Science of Central Los Angeles

Mad Science of Central Los Angeles is hiring energetic Afterschool STEM Instructors to teach hands-on science programs for elementary-age children across Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.

Responsibilities include leading engaging weekly science enrichment classes, conducting demonstrations and activities such as rockets, lasers, dry ice experiments, slime and polymers, attending paid training sessions, transporting equipment to school locations, and participating in weekly Friday staff meetings.

Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old
Available at least three weekday afternoons between 12pm and 5pm
Must have insured personal vehicle for travel between locations
Experience working with children ages 4 to 12 preferred
Minimum one year of college suggested
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Reliable, energetic and outgoing personality

Compensation $22 to $25 per hour DOE
